A highlight of the Church of God General Assembly is the traditional gathering of thousands of women to experience worship, fellowship, and instruction at the Women’s Service. During the 78th International General Assembly of the Church of God, the service is slated for Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022 at the Stars of the Night Ballroom at the Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Headlining this year’s women’s service will be Amanda Crabb. Perhaps best-known for her ministry in music and worship as part of the Crabb Family Singers, she is also co-founder of Crabb Ministries International and senior pastor of Restoring Hope Church in Hendersonville, Tenn., alongside her husband, Aaron. Amanda will present a short package of music, followed by a message to the delegates.
Following a welcome by International Women’s Ministries President Paula Hill and members of the Women’s Advisory Council, praise and worship will be led by Vida Abundante from Abundant Life Church in San Antonio.
This year there will be an emphasis on prayer with special guests leading various areas of focus. Addressing prayer for the general church will be Evangelist Jacqui Smith. Prayer for women in ministry will be led by Pam Brewer with Church of God Women’s Discipleship. Valerie Binda will lead a prayer for the nations, concluded by Jennie Garcia who will pray for families. In addition, Rev. Vera Voznyuk, a native of Ukraine, will lead a special focus on her home country.
The service will also include a presentation of the House of Cherith, the Atlanta-based ministry which is the focus of the current fund-raising project of Women’s Ministries.
There is no charge to attend the Women’s service, but registration for the General Assembly is required and space is limited.
